Pythagorean abaco refers to the multiplication table, attributed to Pythagoras, which consists of nine lines formed by successive products of the first nine numbers by one, two, three. . . up to nine; and serves to find the products of these numbers with each other and to demonstrate that the order of the factors does not alter the product. -
